Alhamdulillah bersyukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa, akhirnya pengamanan Gowes Ranah Minang 2020 bersama Wakil Kepala Staff Angkatan Darat Irjen Pol Tatang Sulaiman berjalan aman dan lancar, minggu(23/2). Start dari Jam Gadang Bukittinggi sekira pukul 06.00 wib, rombongan yang dibagi sebanyak 10 rombongan akan mengakhiri perjalanan di Dermaga Danau Singkarang.
Rombongan pertama akhirnya sampai di Istano Basa Pagaruyung sekira pukul 07.30 wib yang dipimpin langsung Wakasad dan diikuti Pangdam Bukit Barisan serta rombongan Polda Sumbar Dirpamobvit Polda Sumbar. Di Istano, rombongan sudah dinanti oleh jajaran Forkopimda Kab Tanah datar termasuk Kapolres Tanah Datar. Pada saat istirahat, Wakasa beserta rombongan memberikan bingkisan kepada masyarakat yang kurang mampu.
Polres Tanah Datar sendiri mengamankan titik persimpangan yang dianggap rawan guna tidak terjadinya kemacetan yang cukup parah. Pada acara tersebut di perkirakan lebih dari 2500 yang hadir dalam gowes ranah minang ini.
